Supreme Court allows enforcement of new Trump asylum limits

The Supreme Court issued a ruling Wednesday allowing nationwide enforcement of new Trump administration rules that prevents migrants from seeking asylum in the U.S. if they have passed through another country without seeking asylum there.

The decision temporarily lifts a lower court ruling which blocked the new policy in some states along the southern border.

President Trump reacted to the decision on Twitter Wednesday evening:

Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg dissented.
