McConnell slams Democrats’ “radical” policies on energy

Mitch McConnell recently slammed the 2020 Democratic presidentials candidates proposed policies on energy, suggesting that their policy goals would leave America vulnerable to price spikes in the event of a global energy supply disruption.

Pointing out that the United States has largely been insulated from the effects of the recent Saudi Arabia oil disaster due to a policy of energy independence, McConnell said on the Senate floor: “You’d think the country would be united in celebration, but not everyone is happy.”

McConnell criticized the Democratic candidates running for president, claiming that many of them have “endorsed the radical idea of ending oil and gas exploration on federal lands — not only offshore, but onshore too.”
