Kamala Harris calls on Twitter to suspend Donald Trump’s account for “blatant threats”

Democratic president candidate Kamala Harris called on Twitter to suspend the account of President Trump, claiming that he violated Twitter’s user agreement and “put…our democracy in danger.”

In an open letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, Harris claimed that Trump’s invective against his recent anonymous whistleblower, his criticism of Rep. Adam Schiff, and his comment that being removed from office could cause a “Civil War like fracture” in the country qualify as “blatant threats.”

Harris said that Trump’s comments ran afoul of Twitter’s user agreement, which forbids harassment, incitement to violence, and “the glorification of violence.” She said no one should be exempt from Twitter’s user policy, “not even the President of the United States.”
